Even if the Month Branch in the original natal chart acts as an obstacle by counteracting the transformation (as seen in Example 3), this restriction can be bypassed. If an Annual Pillar (Current Year) or a Luck Pillar (10-Year Cycle) containing the target element arrives, these dynamic forces act as an absolute catalyst that overrides the natal chart and successfully triggers the transformation.

When analyzing seasonal or directional combinations, even if the Earthly Branches are complete and the Heavenly Stem catalyst is present, the transformation will fail if the "Main Qi" (正气 - Zheng Qi) of the Month Branch counteracts (clashes with) the newly formed element.

In Bazi (Four Pillars of Destiny) analysis, when specific Earthly Branches interact, they form powerful combinations that can fundamentally alter the elemental flow of the chart.

Now that we understand the framework of Wàng, Xiāng, Xiū, Qiú, and Sǐ, the next crucial step is applying this system to the four seasons. Because the season dictates which elements flourish and which fade, this matrix forms the absolute bedrock of Bazi (Chinese Astrology) chart analysis.
